When do I need a model release?

A model release is needed when there are recognizable people in your photo.

For example:

If the person you shot is not facing the camera, you won't need a model release.

If you can barely see their face and it's not recognizable, then you don't need a release.

If you can see 50% of their face and it's recognizable, you need a release.
